Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas!

Merry Christmas Friends!
I hope your day is filled with family, friends and peace!

I have a few more Christmasy pictures to squeeze in before the new year!  Here is my tinsel Shiny Brite wreath from last year re-invented. I couldn't figure out a good way to store it with all the ornaments attached so I took them all off at the end of the year. But I figured I would want to do something different this year anyway. The little red metal bell was this year's inspiration. At some point I had picked the bell up at an estate sale and it floated around the house most of the year. Now it is it's time to shine!

Another estate sale find (the same sale I got the aprons from in my last post!), was this set of mini Shiny Brites. I was so excited to find them as I knew they would be perfect for my metal tree!

I love looking all the different designs.....

I think this one might be my favorite!

I am not sure if I will be back until after the first week of January. I have the week between Christmas and New Year off and am hoping to get the Brick House done!

  1. Hope your Christmas was fabulous (did Santa give you anything exciting for your collections?) and that you have a fabulous New Year.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Carolyn and I live in Calgary, Canada (think '88 Winter Olympics, and if you're into hockey, the Calgary Flames) I knit (a bit), crochet (a whole bunch) and do a little counted cross stitch. I collect certain authors (I do have the complete set of Cherry Ames -- so nice to find somebody else that collects them) and Scottish kitsch. I "met" Heide through her pattern for a Snowflake Christmas tree Skirt. Which I am still working on, but had to get the monstrous amount of crocheting done for presents done. Now it's time for me. I'm on ravely (isn't everyone?) with the member name of CarolynMichelle. I have really loved reading about your home and the brick house. How is your sister's house coming?

    1. Welcome Carolyn! So glad you stopped by! How fun that you also collect Cherry Ames. I think it was the first series I read! What other authors do you collect?

  2. Love the tinsel wreath and the garland. I have just a short piece of the that tinsel circle garland, I'll have to hunt for more.
    Happy New Year!

    1. Thank you! Happy New Year! The tinsel circle garland is something we saw in a store and thought it would be so easy to make! And it is! We bought tinsel pipe cleaners, cut them in half and twisted the ends together to make circles. It is very much like making paper chains and kind of addicting! So something so simple it is a very pretty decoration.
