I found a few vintage apron-wearing women to celebrate Apple Picking time! Hopefully, we will be able to fit a trip to the orchard in this weekend. Apple picking is one of my favorite autumn activity!
I think this one is my favorite, so sweet!
And of course, a bit of baking always follows apples. So many luscious things to make with apples!
Where do you get your lovely vintage pictures? I'm decorating for Halloween/Fall today but the Farmer's Market is closed already here. It's 81 today and I was looking forward to those Arkansas Black Apples but I guess I must be the only one in Arkansas that is. Iowa still has their Farmer's Markets going...around here I guess we're lucky to have one. LOL! What are you going to do with all your apples?
ReplyDeleteOops, forgot to add sources! I will fix that.
DeleteWe usually make apple sauce, apple butter, store a few for Thanksgiving apple pie and dry a bunch. Of course, there is a bunch we just eat fresh! Yum!
I have never heard of Arkansas Black Apples. Are they really black?
Yum is right! Those are both on the make list!
ReplyDeleteHello, I am always just pleased when I just pop in and have a look at your blog. The house looks wonderful and the pictures and the apple post is a favorite this time of the year. I just did a post on the barn pictures we took this summer. Apple pie and barns how American is that :o) Blessings, Roxy
