Red Cross Knitting

I have been doing a little genealogy with my sister lately. We came across this newspaper article. It made me laugh! Cynthia French is my 4th great grandmother. Dated Aug 3, 1918 in the mist of the first World War.

  1. What a super find and at her age to knit all those socks and patches in such a short space of time.

  2. Terrific article. Genealogy is so absorbing. I've worked on my own for thirty years--even longer than I've worked on Emilie Loring. :)

    1. Genealogy is a fascinating subject! My sister and I have been at since high school. There is always some mystery to still figure out, isn't there?
